Thursday, October 7
If you are using the group air, depart Chicago on United Airlines at 9:50am and arrive in Las Vegas at 11:52am. Meet our Utah-based expert guide Ted Winder, board our motorcoach and depart for the Grand Canyon Squire Inn, located outside the south rim of Grand Canyon National Park. Have a get-acquainted evening with dinner at the hotel.

Friday, October 8
Our day of discovery begins as Ted takes us to the south rim of the Grand Canyon, the most awe-inspiring natural feature on earth. Stops will include the Visitor’s Center, Desert View and Mather Point. Lunch will be at the historic El Tovar Hotel. You will have time to explore on your own before seeing the IMAX movie featuring the Grand Canyon.

Saturday, October 9
Depart for another day of stunning sights. Lunch will be at Gouldings Trading Post on our way to Monument Valley. Situated on the Colorado Plateau, the restaurant is surrounded by vivid red rock buttes. After lunch enjoy a sightseeing ride into stunning Monument Valley before driving to Lake Powell. Check-in at The Lake Powell Resort where we will have dinner tonight.

Sunday, October 10
Spend the day seeing spectacular sights. Travel to Antelope Canyon, a petrified sand dune that has been sculpted into amazing shapes. A smooth-water raft trip on the mighty Colorado River will take you from the Glen Canyon Dam to Lee’s Ferry, with a stop to view ancient petroglyphs. The soaring sandstone cliffs and dramatic sights are amazing.

Monday, October 11
Travel north to Utah, with stops to see Marble Canyon and Jacob’s Lake before heading to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Higher than the south rim, the view points are spectacular and give a real sense of the vastness of the canyon. After lunch at the picturesque Grand Canyon Lodge and time to explore, continue to St. George and the Abbey Inn.

Tuesday, October 12
Drive to Cedar City, known for its Shakespeare Festival, for a backstage tour and lunch with a member of the theater program. On to the Kolob Canyon entrance to Zion National Park, where Ted will lead a short, easy hike. Returning to St. George, have dinner and attend the Tuacahn Theatre to see Crazy for You. With music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin, this Tony Award- winning musical is a wonderful homage to a great songwriting team.

Wednesday, October 13
Check-out of the hotel before our final stop, the Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm, where over 1000 dinosaur tracks have been discovered since 2000. Depart for Las Vegas and board United Airlines departing at 2:25pm, with arrival at 8:04pm in Chicago.
